Over 900 different bird species have been spotted in Southern Africa, attesting to the region's rich biodiversity.  Size, color, and form are just few of the ways in which this variety manifests itself.  Observing one of these birds in the wild can be a magical experience, as many of them are rare and endemic, meaning that they cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
